For Chef CJ, it’s everything. It’s his life. It’s a chance to express his artistic side, interpret the seasons using fresh, local ingredients, and (most importantly) make people happy. Therefore, our menu isn’t a set standard that’s reliant on frozen ingredients. It’s a living, breathing thing based on the seasonal availability of fresh ingredients, which he blends to spark a connection with our guests through artisanal dining experiences. 

Setting the Standard, Not Following It

It’s true that thinking about seasons in Florida can be tricky, but we embrace the challenge. We roll out a new menu every three to four months, changing about 60 to 70% of our offerings each time. You simply won’t find that level of dedication at the chain restaurants, which often serve the same menu year-round. We believe in giving you fresh, exciting variety. We stay true to our guests, listening to what you enjoy, and then pushing ourselves to make it even better. 

This spirit of innovation is in our DNA. We believe our scratch kitchen at 28 North Gastropub today is what our sister restaurant, Pizza Gallery & Grill, was when it started 36 years ago. Back then, gourmet pizza with shrimp and teriyaki sauce was unheard of. Today, we carry that torch with “really cool, creative, innovative stuff” like octopus hot dogs, pumpkin scallops, and duck wings.
