The New Year is right around the corner, and January will see the opening of 28 North, Viera’s first gastropub concept. The unique farm-to-table establishment will feature a chef-curated menu, hand-crafted beverages, and seasonal beers in a comfortable, pub-like setting.

The new 150-seat concept is owned and operated by Higher Purpose Holdings, and founder Chris Conneen, the creative force behind Brevard’s only gourmet pizza concept restaurant Pizza Gallery & Grill.

The name 28 North is a reference to the latitude of Brevard County/ Located right next to Pizza Gallery & Grill in The Avenue Viera, 28 North will feature a wrap-around patio dining area, open kitchen, and a energetic bar and lounge area with great views of The Avenue Viera’s newly-updated Central Park.

Chef Kyle Hash has been cultivating local partnerships with vendors such as Rockledge Gardens to ensure the menu has the freshest, home-grown produce and meat selections.

“Supporting local farms and nurseries builds a stronger community and produces the best quality dishes for our guests. I’m excited to showcase our local vendors in our unique menu,” said Hash.

With exciting menu items like grass-fed Ribeye over horseradish mashed potatoes, upscale burgers, and a bold twist on fish and chips, 28 North is sure to bring an innovative and new dining experience to Brevard.

The team’s focus on the local aspect of 28 North doesn’t stop with the food. Lead mixologist and bar manager Ericka Hash is excited to feature not only locally-brewed beers but will follow husband Kyle’s lead with locally-grown garnishes and fresh-squeezed mixers for her hand-crafted cocktails.

Opportunities exist to join the team at 28 North – current openings include hostess, server, bartender kitchen, and management positions. More information is available online at www.28ngp.com.
